Happy New Year!!

It is bitterly cold in Boone and has been since New Year's Day. We went out to visit the construction site on January 2nd while it was a whopping 12 degrees outside. The whipping winds made it feel even colder. What we saw there though gave us a good reason to feel nice and warm inside!

The top picture shows a view from the living room to the kitchen and dining area. The second picture is a view of the entry way into the house from the garage.

The photos above are all views out the front of the house. They are the far end of the living room, the main windows and front door, and then the dining room view!

 Here are two icicles trying to stay warm! Normally the wind does not seem to blow very hard where we are at, but this day the wind was quite chilling!

So even in the freezing cold, progress is being made! We get asked a lot when we think we will be able to move in, and our standard answer is usually "we will know more once we get through winter!". With more snow and freezing temperatures in the forecast all next week, it  could be slow-going for awhile!
